Astronomy 105 Fall lab class
The new lab students plan to expand on the above activities.
28 SEPTEMBER, 2006 (Thursday)
During lab, we had plans to car-pool to Parnell Tower. The sky is dark, and the view breath taking. We purchased daily stickers for the cars, but had to cancel the trip when clouds moved in. We made plans to attend the Barlow Planetarium at UW-Fox Valley on October 20th.
13 OCTOBER, 2006 (Friday)
A group of us car-pooled to Barlow. The staff let us in for $4/person instead of the new rate of $6.50/person. The show was called 'October Skies'.
01 NOVEMBER, 2006 (Wednesday)
After lecture, several students helped to pose for photos. These will be used for PR on the UW-S webpage, and on cablevision. An attempt to take lunar images, and to image Comet Swan were cancelled due to clouds that moved in.

Astronomy 106 Spring Lab class
16 APRIL, 2007 (Monday)
The start of "ASTRONOMY WEEK". Mayor Juan Perez issued a Proclamation which is designed to proclaim April 16-21, 2007 in honor of astronomical outreach contributions by UW-Sheboygan and also the Sheboygan Astronomical Society.

On Monday, April 16th, the lab students for Astronomy 106 displayed astronomical posters dedicated to this event. The display was designed to inform the public, as well as other students, about a variety of topics that are being studied this semester.

On Thursday, April 19th, students invited the public, as well as fellow students, to observe the Moon and Saturn from the campus observing site. Saturday, April 21st is the actual NATIONAL ASTRONOMY DAY. For this event, telescopes were available at nearby Terry Andrea State Park. A sticker is required for admission.
