Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD)
All students are required to pay a $100 Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD) each
fall and spring semester prior to registration. PRISM will not allow registration
until this fee is paid. The ATD is not a fee, but an advance payment which
will be applied to your tuition. The ATD and subsequent registration is a
financial commitment to pay tuition and fees to UW Sheboygan.
Are there any exemptions?
Non-degree seeking (Youth Options Program, Credit Outreach, Senior Auditor, Old Age Survivors and Disability Insurance) students are exempted. Although these students are exempt from having to pay an ATD, they will not be exempt from withdrawal fees, if applicable.
Will I pay any penalty fees?
When you pay the ATD and register for classes, no matter when you attend classes or not, you are considered financially committed to UW Sheboygan. Therefore, if you want to withdraw from all of your classes you must go to and officially withdraw at Student Services or you will owe all of your tuition and fees plus a $100 administrative penalty fee. Merely ceasing to attend class does not constitute official withdrawal from University of Wisconsin Sheboygan.
How do I make a payment?
You may pay your ATD by cash, check, or money order at Business Services.
OR
You may pay your ATD by credit card, debit card (MasterCard or DiscoverCard only) or electronic check online via your PRISM account.
Can I get a refund?
The ATD is refundable if you withdraw from classes prior to July 1 for fall term or prior to December 1 for spring term.
- If you withdraw on or after those dates and you have paid an ATD, you will forfeit your $100 ATD
- If you withdraw on or after those dates and were not required to pay (see exemptions above) an ATD, you will be charged a mandatory $100 withdrawal fee.
