• Check your academic requirements with an advisor in Student Affairs. Ensure you have met the Associate Degree requirements. If necessary, make any last minute schedule changes.

September (Fall semester drop/add)

• If transferring to another school in the immediate future, ensure you meet application deadlines. If you need to write a personal statement, start early so that others can review it and offer suggestions. Request any letters of recommendation that might be needed several weeks before your application deadline.

• Complete you Application for Graduation form. The application can be submitted a semester before your last semester at UW-S, but no later than these deadline dates. If you apply after that date, you name will NOT appear in the Commencement program. You cannot graduate without completing this application. *Students completing their final six or fewer credits during the summer 2013 sessions must also submit an Application for Graduation.

Spring: March 15

Summer: June 15

Fall: Dec. 15

• Complete the Commencement Attendance Form online or pick one up and return it to the Student Affairs Office.

• Purchase or rent your cap and gown. Visit the Business Services Office to place your order.

• Complete Financial Aid Exit Interviews. If you received a federal loan, and exit interview is required. Complete the interview online or talk to Mary Balde for instructions.

• Contact Business Services to pay any outstanding bills you have with UW-S. Your student account must be paid in full before you can receive your diploma or have any transcripts sent.

• Update your contact information online.

• Forward your UW-S email and download your files from the shared drive. For details, visit SHB_IT Help Desk.

• Register for the Online Alumni Network. Search for UW-S alumni to network with and keep in touch with your graduated friends. Sign up now!
