ACUITY Technology Center: Project Information
The ACUITY Technology Center houses the new campus library, study rooms and new computerized and distance education classrooms. The new 28,300-square-foot building was made possible by a generous donation from ACUITY and funding provided by Sheboygan County. Located directly off the side and front of the campus's Main Building, the glass-fronted, two-story building creates a new grand entrance to the UW-Sheboygan campus. Construction of the ACUITY Technology Center concluded in May 2007, with installation of furnishings completed for the start of fall semester classes in September.
In addition to the construction of the new Technology Center, the massive building project led by Miron Construction of Appleton included the complete remodeling and renovation of 20,000 square feet of existing space in the Learning Resources Building. This work began after the library moved to the new building in summer 2007 and wrapped up in March 2008.
