Purpose: This is a guide to documenting electronic resources, such as journal articles, used in your research. You need much of the same information as you would if citing a print source, with a few additional pieces of information.  This is an interpretation of the MLA (Modern Language Association) style of citing electronic publications. For more information see the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (Permanent Reserve LB2369.G53 2003) or http://sheboygan.uwc.edu/library/Inetcite.htm.

If you are paraphrasing, quoting or summarizing from an Internet source, print the page for future reference in case your instructor wants to verify its accuracy.
