“Pushing boundaries – even for us” is how Thomas Campbell, Theatre Professor at UW-Sheboygan explains the fall production, BASH. A drama made up of three short plays, BASH is told from the first person, directly to the audience. “Each show is a fascinating and frightening look into the minds of people who have each committed a violent, horrific crime,” Campbell explains. Four performances of BASH will be presented November 15-18 at 7:30pm in the Fine Arts building at the UW-Sheboygan campus, located at One University Drive in Sheboygan.

“These stories terrify me and challenge me in ways that no other show has done since coming to UW-Sheboygan, Campbell who teaches theatre and communication classes at the campus, explains. “All of our shows this season rely heavily on first-person narrative and monologues to explore perspectives and tell stories. The first story, Iphigenia in Orem, is a one-man show featuring Anthony Liguori (a Professor of Psychology at Lakeland University) and a modern retelling of the Agamemnon myth. In the second, A Gaggle of Saints, a young couple, Ryan Halverson of Sheboygan Falls (currently enrolled in collaborative education program with UW-Oshkosh) and Leah Bischoff of Saukville (a UW-Sheboygan alumna) offer their own versions of a dark night presented in overlapping monologues. The final story, Medea Redux, is a one-woman story, featuring Grace Pribbernow (a UW-Sheboygan alumna) and a modern retelling of the Medea myth.”

“The performances are incredible” according to Campbell and he encourages the community to attend.
