TAKE NOTE-ice Finale Concert features local musicians May 8

The University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan Music Department encourages the Sheboygan community to attend the 3rd annual TAKE NOTE-ice Finale Concert on Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m. in the UW-SheboyganFine Arts Theatre.

The concert features the three top finishers in the 2014 TAKE NOTE-ice Music Competition, including 33 Overlap, Off Key and Kaitlyn Kropidlowski.  All performers competed in the finalist competition on April 10 to secure a spot in the Finale Concert.

The top finisher and concert organizer is UW-Sheboyganstudent a capella group, 33 Overlap, which includes students Joe Larson, Rebecca Denboer, Chris Matz, Vichai Chang, Jonathan Block and Jimmy Chang.

The second place finisher and another concert performer is the group Off Key, which includes several members of the UW-SheboyganMusic Club, including Dylan Zastrow, Justin Martin, Carrie Johns and Vincent Sacket.

The third place performer will be soloist Kaitlyn Kropidlowski of Grafton High School.

Each group or singer will perform a series of songs during the concert. All proceeds from this event will support the UW-SheboyganMusic Department and future TAKE NOTE-ice Music Competitions for area high school and college students.

Admission to the concert is $5 for the general public, $1 for seniors and FREE to all area students (high school or college). Tickets will be available at the door, or contact the UW-SheboyganBox Office, located in the Business Services Office, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for advance tickets.
