This position is responsible for being the first point of contract for individuals requesting assistance from Piggly Wiggly Midwest's Help Desk. Sales Associate

This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers. It will assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services. Great Lakes Watercraft Inspector

Watercraft inspectors travel to boat ramps in the Great Lakes coast to teach anglers and boaters how to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. Work occurs with minimal supervision and involves working with the public on a one-on-one basis. In addition to conversing with boaters, watercraft inspectors issue informational brochures and other educational materials. Work occurs on weekdays and weekends. The watercraft inspector is responsible for accurately completing daily data sheets and submitting the sheets monthly for review and compilation. Inspectors provide their own transportation.
Wisconsin Sea Grant Advisory Services hires inspectors to work from late May to late August or early September. Inspectors work three weekends a month and on holidays. Work generally occurs on Friday afternoon and all day on Saturday and Sunday for a total of about 20hrs per week. A limited number of hours may take place during the week. Inspections take place at boat landings and fishing tournaments. The primary duties are the dissemination of information to anglers and recreational boaters (i.e. watch cards, pamphlets, brochures) so they are made aware of what the various invasive species look like and what precautions they should take to avoid spreading them. The effort will also involve visual inspection of boats to make sure they are clean and instructing boaters on how to properly clean their boats, trailers and boating equipment.
Inspectors must enter hours and data into the DNR database on a weekly basis, submit hours to UW-Madison on a weekly basis, and submit completed data sheets to the Madison office on a monthly basis. All inspectors will be required to participate in a training session and periodic conference calls during to ensure consistency in boat inspections, cleaning procedures and reporting out on the data.

Watercraft inspectors will be jointly supervised by the Sea Grant aquatic invasive species specialist and a DNR aquatic invasive species law enforcement specialist.

Inspections will occur at boat landings on Lake Michigan, Green Bay and the Fox River, Lake Superior, and inland lakes as needed. Five inspectors will be hired to work under the project, with one likely being based near Lake Superior.

Hours and Pay Rate
20 hours/week. Watercraft Inspectors are paid $10.00 - $14.00 / hr for time at the ramp and the current state mileage rate ($0.51 / mile) for distance traveled to and from the ramps or rental car provided. Time sheets are submitted every two weeks. Travel reimbursement report submitted every month.
