University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan

Southern GERMANY/AUSTRIA

(with optional tour to Prague)

Don’t miss the chance to take part in a picturesque nine-day tour of Bavarian Germany and Austria. Our tour begins in Frankfurt and travels along the Romantic Road leading up to the Alps passing through several towns and villages leftover from the medieval times. After touring Frankfurt, we journey to Munich, the Bavarian capital, which is a city soaked in tradition and boasts itself as the city of lederhosen, castles and festivals. Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart and the filming of Sound of Music will be next on the itinerary with its fountains and rich history.

You cannot travel to Austria without visiting Vienna, enjoying the elegance, aristocratic, cultured music and museums, cafes and delicious food. An optional concert evening with the Vienna Residence Orchestra will take you back into the magical world of historical Vienna.

Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic and is beautifully preserved, undamaged by WWII with amazing architecture and stunning buildings, winding streets and famous sights. Day 1: city tour, Prague Castle, Jewish quarter and Wenceslas Square; Day 2: Czech Republic Castle; Day 3: a free day to explore Prague on your own; Day 4: fly back to U.S.
