The UW-Sheboygan campus has made a concerted effort to host groups of middle school students for the purpose of college and career exploration since at least 2002. At first, UW-S invited two or three groups of local middle school students to the campus each year to participate in a half day of activities and to expose them to our campus.
In 2008, the largest local school district (Sheboygan Area School District) mandated that all of their 8th graders spend one day per year in career exploration activities. These visits continue to occur with a various area middle schools. Student Affairs staff will rotate the students through career and education-related activities and provide a tour of the campus. If you are interested in having your 8th grade students visit the UW-Sheboygan campus please contact Elisa Waltz at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (920) 459-5956 for more information.
