University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan

Transgender speaker to share insights on Oct. 26

The University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan will host a presentation on “Demystifying the Transgender Individual” on Wednesday, October 26 at noon in Room 2114 (Wombat Room). All students, faculty/staff and the public are invited to attend.

Speaker Ammie Capaccio, a transgender individual, will share her personal story of living a transgendered life. Capaccio lived almost her entire life as a biological male and then realized she needed to live as a female to be her real self.

Today, Capaccio does volunteer work for the Milwaukee area LBGQT community and frequently participates in panel discussions for the UW System on living a transgendered life.

The presentation, which is sponsored by the UW-Sheboygan Special Programs Committee, is free.
