University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan

Spring classes start Jan. 24 at UW-Sheboygan

Registration for the Spring 2011 term at the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan is now underway. Students who have not yet applied are still encouraged to do immediately as applications continue to be accepted for the Spring term. Classes begin January 24, 2011.

One of the 13 freshman-sophomore campuses of the University of Wisconsin Colleges, UW-Sheboygan provides area residents the opportunity to put the University of Wisconsin on their resume. It offers small classes, high quality instruction, the lowest tuition in UW System, and a well-developed Student Success Center to help with tutoring and other student needs.

Students can earn an Associate of Arts & Science Degree at UW-Sheboygan. Credits transfer easily to UW baccalaureate institutions and to many private schools. Students who transfer from the UW Colleges typically perform very well academically at the four-year institutions.

Tuition rates remain frozen at 2006 levels again for this academic year, making UW-Sheboygan the most affordable option in the UW System for Sheboygan area residents. All students are eligible to apply for financial aid, as well as apply for the more than $100,000 in scholarships awarded by the UW-Sheboygan Foundation to UW-Sheboygan students each year.

In addition to getting a great start on credits for transfer to a four-year institution, students also can stay on campus to complete a bachelor’s degree in one of several disciplines through UW-Sheboygan’s unique collaborative degree programs with other four-year UW System institutions. Popular collaborative programs include Nursing, Education (PreK-Grade 5), Organizational Administration, Engineering, Information Resources, Communication, Liberal Studies and more.

For information about admission, financial aid or bachelor’s degree options, contact the Student Services Office at (920) 459-6633 or e-mail uwshb@uwc.edu. Stop in today to schedule a campus tour and a one-on-one meeting with a student advisor. A complete schedule of spring classes is available on the UW-Sheboygan Web site, www.sheboygan.uwc.edu.
