Blood Center to hold blood drive at UW-Sheboygan Oct. 31

Area residents are encouraged to give blood at the UW-Sheboygan/Blood Center of Wisconsin Blood Drive that will be held at the UW-Sheboygan campus on October 31. The drive is sponsored in partnership with C.D. Smith Construction Services of Fond du Lac.

All donors who participate in this drive will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes to win a new 2011 Chevy Cruse that will be awarded at the end of the campaign in December 2011. The drive, which continues for the next several months, encourages increased donation among individuals ages 16 to 25.

Donations will be taken from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 31 in the Wombat Room (Room 2114) in the lower level of the Main Building at UW-Sheboygan. Advance registration is encouraged, but walk-in donors are welcome. To register in advance, stop in the UW-Sheboygan Student Services Office or visit www.bcw.edu/UWSheb.

All those age 16 or older are eligible to donate (those under 18 require parental consent). All donors also must weigh at least 110 lbs. and be in general good health. For more specific donation requirements, visit www.bcw.edu.

UW-Sheboygan is located at One University Drive in Sheboygan. Enter the campus via University Drive, which is located between Indiana Avenue and Union Avenue. All blood drive donors are encouraged to park in the West Parking Lot and enter the campus through the ACUITY Technology Center main entrance.
