UW-Sheboygan Dean announces retirement
University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan Campus Executive Officer (CEO)/Dean Al Hardersen announced today that he will retire June 30, 2012, and he has asked to be appointed to other projects until that time.
Ray Cross, chancellor of the University of Wisconsin Colleges and University of Wisconsin-Extension, said his office is reviewing a number of areas on the campus and will plan to appoint an interim CEO/Dean early in the new year.
“Under Al’s leadership the campus has enjoyed record enrollments, and he has developed many good relationships with the larger community on behalf of the campus,” said Cross. “Until he retires, I am asking Al to continue to build on the very positive relationships he has with the UW-Sheboygan Foundation and with the community.”
Cross also confirmed that after he appoints an interim CEO/Dean to the campus, Hardersen will transition into retirement by completing a number of special projects.

UW-Sheboygan is a campus of the UW Colleges, an institution of the University of Wisconsin System comprised of 13 freshman-sophomore campuses and UW Colleges Online that offer an associate degree in arts and science and prepare students of all ages and backgrounds for baccalaureate and professional programs.
