University Theatre announces Godspell auditions for Feb. 2


University Theatre will hold auditions for its spring 2012 production, Godspell on Thursday, February 2, with callbacks scheduled for Friday, February 3.

All those planning to audition on February 2 should prepare a musical selection from the show. It should be a piece from one of the characters you are interested in playing. Although those auditioning will not be required to sing an entire song, they should be prepared to sing at least 32 bars from their selected song.

Callbacks will be offered the following day on February 3, along with additional singing auditions for those who cannot make it February 2. Callback auditions will involve readings from the Godspell script.

During both auditions and callbacks, performers should arrive in the Fine Arts Building by 6 p.m. Auditions will be held in the choir rehearsal hall (located in the lower level, Room 7006) on the UW-Sheboygan campus. Though walk-ins are welcome, it is preferred that you contact the director, Assistant Professor Simon Provan, to inform him of your attendance. You can e-mail him at
