Holistic Living course offered at UW-Sheboygan

The UW-Sheboygan Center for Engagement Learning invites area residents wishing to learn about a holistic approach to well-being to register for the workshop series “Holistic Living” (formerly Finding Balance and Well Being).

This class examines tools and techniques to help you live a more relaxed, balanced life. Each session will include the overview of an approach, followed by hands-on experimentation and exercises which can be done on your own at any time. Topics for this class include Visualization, Aromatherapy, Chakras and Auras, Kinesiology, Oracles, Crystals, Gems and Stones.

John and Pamela Oestreicher will serve as the presenters for this class. John teaches and practices Reiki, and Pamela holds a degree in Business Administration and is certified in Feng Shui.

“Holistic Living” will be held on Thursdays, February 3, 10, 17, 24; March 3, 10 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Room 3210 of the UW-Sheboygan Main Building. A $65 fee is required for the course.

Learn how to use your new digital camera


Did you receive a new digital camera over the holidays? Are you excited to learn more about the possibilities of digital photography? Then register now for the UW-Sheboygan Center for Engagement Learning Digital Photography course this spring.

The course will offer instruction on a camera’s basic features, as well as tips for photo composition to improve your image shooting skills.

This class is to teach the basics of downloading, editing, and printing. You also learn how to organize photos into files. It is requested that you bring your camera and owners’ guide to class and to pre-read the manual. Also some comfort with a computer is required.

The class will be taught by Keary Kautzer, Director of WSCS. It will take place on Tuesdays, February 22; March 1, 8, and 15 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Room 5001 of the Learning Resources Building. A $59 fee is required for the class.
