University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan

Nora Boedeker oil paintings on display at UW-Sheboygan

The Sheboygan community is invited to visit the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan Fine Arts Gallery for its new exhibition of paintings by Wisconsin artist Nora Boedeker. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, July 5 from 5 – 7 p.m. The public is welcome.

Boedeker is a naturalistic oil painter. Her work is inspired by the plant models she created for the Milwaukee Public Museum. A diversity of plant forms, color, textures and shapes are expressed in her paintings. Boedker's award-winning larger than life paintings have been shown throughout the Midwest in both group and solo shows.

Boedeker is a graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and an active member of the Wisconsin Visual Artists and the Milwaukee Artists Resource Network. She lives in Glendale, WI.

This exhibition will be on display through July 27, 2012. The Fine Arts Gallery is open Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and is located inside the Fine Arts Building at UW-Sheboygan.
