Information sessions scheduled for 2012 Study Abroad tours
Study Abroad tours will travel to China and Germany/Austria
Travel enthusiasts around the Sheboygan area, or even those who are considering their first overseas travel experience, are invited to several special information sessions regarding the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan’s 2012 Study Abroad tour offerings.
On Tuesday, April 26, from 7 to 8 p.m. in Room 1202, a presentation on the “Highlights of Beijing City, China,” a nine-day tour, with an optional one-day trip to Xian, home of the Terracotta Warriors, will be offered. The trip has been scheduled for May 23-31, 2012.
The China travel team will include Jinny Lourigan, UW-Sheboygan Chinese instructor and native of China, and Valerie Graczyk, UW-Sheboygan Center for Engagement Learning Travel Abroad Coordinator. The Collette Travel Agency will share a presentation complete with travel photos of what trip participants will experience.
An additional information session set for Tuesday, May 3 from 6 to 7 p.m. in Room 1202 will offer details on a tour to Southern Germany and Austria, with an optional three-day add-on excursion to Prague. “Highlights of Germany & Austria” will be offered March 16-24, 2012.
The Germany and Austria travel team will include UW-Sheboygan Assistant Professor of History Mark Karau, who will offer insight on Germany history; UW-Sheboygan Professor of English Joe Milicia, who will focus on music and literature; and Graczyk, Travel Abroad Coordinator.
