UW-Sheboygan Spring Choral Concert set for May 3
All area residents are invited to celebrate the arrival of spring with the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan as the UW-Sheboygan Chorus presents its Spring Choral Concert on Monday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the UW-Sheboygan Fine Arts Theatre.
Dr. Dan Vander Linden will direct both the UW-Sheboygan chorus, while Kathy Pedersen will accompany the choir during the performance.
The concert will feature performances of arrangements from well-known songwriters, musicians and artists, such as Lon Beery, Michael Buble, Jason Mraz, George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jimmie Thomas and even new artists Lady Gaga and Owl City. Some songs to be performed include “Vanilla Twilight/Fireflies,” “Speechless,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye,” “Rockin’ Robin,” and “Lucky,” among others.
The entire chorus, as well as solos and ensembles, will be performed. Accompaniment also will be provided by Erica Gerk-Zeekaf on electric bass and Dylan Nelson on drums for specific song selections.
Admission is $3 for adults, and all children 12 and under and all UW-Sheboygan students with ID are free.
Advance tickets for this event are not necessary. Guests may purchase their tickets the night of the concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Box Office or purchase your tickets the night of the event. The Box Office will open at approximately 6:30 p.m.
